    Day 027 - Project 365 Vector Characters

Day 27 – Peblo

The pebbles of Mongi River take their water skeeting very seriously! Peblo is the water skeeting champion of the Mongi river. He is a very special kind of double pebble, shiny and smooth as marble. He can perform some neat hopping and skipping tricks on the dark water’s surface. A 100 brushes of his yellow straw hat every day, keep him shiny as ever. His record of 19 skips is still undefeated!

As a child I have always tried to skip pebbles over still waters and never succeeded. Not even one tiny skip. Now if only I had Peblo, I could make him skip 19 times, I reckon! Have you ever skipped pebbles on water? What was your best score?

Time Taken : 45 minutes

Softwares : Illustrator CS 4 & Photoshop CS 4

Font for Peblo : Bebete

In 2010, I have challenged myself to create 365 vector characters, one for each day of the year. Please Subscribe To My Feed to follow the series or Bookmark My Flickr Page to stay updated on the newest characters everyday.

Use a flat rock for skipping, no bigger than the palm of your hand, make sure it spins flat like a frisbee.

They’ll go a 6-8 skips or more if you given them enough spin and throw hard enough.

Thanks Dave! I might have to give that a go now :)
