10 Amazing Organic Text Effects Tutorials

By Sneh Roy on Monday, 22 June 20094 Comments

Text Effect Tutorials are great. It is like dressing up your favorite typography in its Sunday best. It is a wonderful little exercise in type treatment. Just like any other design, you play around with colors and compositions but the wondrous part of it all is the special effects that transform text into something spectacular. It is fun to see text effects transcend from your regular bevel and emboss to more unrealistic yet very realistic smokey, grassy, milky and organic. I use the word organic here because most of these effects are so affected by nature and elements in their raw form like grass, smoke, milk, wood, stone, gold and water amongst a few others. The Milk typography is my personal favorite, a stroke of creamy genius if you may. Enjoy this little round-up of tutorials that make transforming text as easy as typing it.
