Thanks for great round-up of tutorials, and a special thank you for not just throwing together a bunch of effects instructions. There’s always so much more to creating a design than the visual style, and some of these do a good job of covering all the different elements.

Poster design is a wonderful artform and in many ways one of the most challenging types of design. To communicate so much in one layout that needs to work at such a range of scales and viewing distances is a big ask for any designer.

I do wish there was more written and discussed about the pure design considerations of the poster, in addtion to tutorials and galleries of examples, but I guess a close study of the work of Saul Bass and Milton Glaser can also suffice.
