60 Absolutely Gorgeous Textured Logos With That Wow Factor
November 29, 2009 | Thoughts & Words By Sneh Roy | 25 Comments
Textures are a pleasure in Photoshop and a privilege in Illustrator. Now since all good logos are vectors, you rarely come across ones that have intricate and beautiful textures. Making a logo classy with the effect of textures [the grunge texture seems to be the most popular in the textured logos that I found] is indeed an art and today I have rounded up a gorgeous collection of logos that are not flat. There is a lovely mix of wood grain, stained glass, burnt paper, foliage, water, urban decay, brush strokes, ribbons, fabric, metal and stone textures in these logos. Whether a result of vector tecture overlays or simply intelligent design playing illusion games with your vision, these beautiful logos have a palpable, almost real texture that will make you want to reach out and touch your screens. Enjoy and get inspired!

Some are really awesome… Pity customers are not much into using textures in their logos… Hopefully it wil get into a trend one day, like all those web 2.0 logos used to be, and then we can enjoy using textures when designing with no or little risk that a client won’t like it

Love these logos. Hard to pull off, though. Most of my clients need 2-color logos for use on imprint items. Textures just don’t cut it for most practical purposes. But they look beautiful!
